MONDAY-9/29/08-Chapter 4 Section 1 p. 84-89. Homework p. 89 (1-4) Due Tuesday

TUESDAY-9/30/08-Section 2 p. 90-95  “The Old Kingdom”. Homework-Use each vocabulary word for section 1 & 2 in a sentence of your own. There are 13 words. Due Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY-10/1/08-Review using online quiz for section 1 & 2. Vocabulary Builder for section 1 & 2 (use to review vocabulary/keep to study for section Quiz). Egyptian Activity (This is an in class activity about Egypt’s Religion and the Pyramids) This work will also go in the social studies scrapbooks. STUDY FOR QUIZ

THURSDAY-10/2/08-Chapter 4 Section 1 & 2 Quiz ( Test will cover all vocabulary and main ideas for these sections. There will also be true and false questions. Complete in class activity.

FRIDAY-10/3/08-Section 3 “The Middle Kingdom” p. 96-100.

THURSDAY-9/25/08-In class Chapter 3 Quiz Game. Review Chapter 3. Remember to study all vocabulary words.

THURSDAY-9/18/08-STUDY- for Section 1 & 2 Quiz. Use the online practice quiz for each section to help you review.

FRIDAY-9/19/08-Chapter 3 Quiz for Section 1 & 2.

TO ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS; I will need time to grade each individual Cultural Poster. Grades will be posted online as soon as all posters are graded. Students will get a grade sheet for their poster. I would like to keep the posters until Open House.

SOCIAL STUDIES-LATE UPDATE-SITE WAS DOWN

MONDAY-9/8/08-CH. 2 review worksheet(Due Tuesday). Online textbook information went home today.(Parent Signature Due by Friday). In class poster project Thursday.(1/2 sheet of poster and a family photo required). This assignment will count as a test grade. All work for the poster will be done in class.

TUESDAY-9/9/08-HOMWORK DUE. STUDY FOR CHAPTER 2 TEST

WEDNESDAY-9/9/08-Chapter 2 Test. (The online textbook practice book can help you be ready for the test.

THURSDAY-9/10/08-In class poster (Family Tradition/Cultural Poster) If you don’t do a poster your grade will be a zero. I will help you with everything in class. You can bring any object that can be put on the poster from home. Most of the poster pictures will come from magazines. I have some in the class room. You can bring clip art pictures, but you must have a family photo. If you have questions please ask before Thursday.

FRIDAY-9/11/08-ALL CLASSES WILL SHARE POSTERS. POSTERS WILL COUNT AS A TEST GRADE.

PARENTS:INTERIMS WILL GO HOME THIS WEEK. STUDENTS WITH MAKE UP WORK WILL NOT HAVE THOSE GRADES INCLUDED.

9/3/08-WEDNESDAY-Study Chapter 2 Section 1 & 2. Pay very close attention to the vocabulary words.

9/4/08-THURSDAY-Study Chapter 2 Section 1 & 2.  All students will need a half sheet of poster board for an in class project next week. (Poster board due by Tuesday, 9/9). We will be working on this project on 9/11. Details will come home on Monday.
